New 4th/5th Grade Teacher!

Mrs. Marilyn Yates has agreed to teach our 4th/5th grade classroom this fall.  She comes with much classroom experience along with experience in instrumental music instruction.  We know that Grace Christian School will do well with Marilyn on board!  By the way, she and her husband Rod are graduates of Grace Christian School.  Wow!  Thank you, and welcome Mrs. Yates.

Looking Ahead – Take Note – A Few Changes

Looking ahead to the coming of the fall semester there are a few exciting changes.  1.  We will provide AFTER SCHOOL CARE for all ages – beginning at 3:30 and running until as late as 5:30 your child will be able to stay in our supervised care time for $4/hour.  2.  A few helpful and impressive changes are being made to the DRESS CODE.  3. Our HIGH SCHOOL READING program is expanding – including reading in the classics and reporting on that reading.  4.  There will be a BILLING CHANGE – your bill will come from a billing company.  5.  THE CALENDAR is adjusted to allow us to begin school on August 31st AND be out for summer on May 26th.  AMAZING!    Look here for any more news.  Enjoy your summer.

GCS May 29, 2015 Dear Parents, We have just a couple things to remind you and students who will be attending the Commencement Exercises this Sunday at 2:00 pm regarding dress code requirements. The 7-12th grade men’s and ladies’ choirs will be singing in the program. This is a required activity. Guys: your attire should be dress shirt with a neck tie, dress pants and dress shoes. Gals: your attire should be modest, dress or skirt and blouse. We also want to make sure parents are aware that the school will provide lunch for students and staff on the last day of school.  Students do not need to bring a lunch that day. We are looking forward to a great conclusion to the 2014-2015 school year. GCS STAFF

GCS May 27, 2015 Dear Parents: We want to remind you about events that will take place between now and the last day of school. This Friday we have a noon dismissal. Students do not need to bring a lunch as there will be no lunch break. Everyone is invited to attend the Commencement Ceremony Sunday, May 31 at 2:00 pm in the school auditorium.  We have 7 students graduating this year. The high school and Junior High students will be part of the program in a boys chorus and a girls chorus.  This is a required activity.  Student singers, please dress up.  Boys in Dress shirts and ties, dress pants, and dress shoes. You are invited to our Awards Program next Wednesday at 8:30 am.  We will spend the afternoon completing service projects around the school and church building and grounds. Students should come to school dressed in normal school
